Dual purpose tables - Just like the name suggests the table style gives you additional usage. It can for instance be shaped and designed like a truck so you have a table and a trunk function on one piece. You can store books or shiny decorative items within the trunk for a glamorous look. You can also choose to have one with an aquarium presentation in that the base area that stunning marine life design and colors bringing your table to life. It of course does not have actual fish, but you can choose aquatic plants you want included.
A final head table idea is for the bride and groom to sit at a table with their parents, the maid of honor and best man, and the spouses or dates of the honor attendants. This can be an excellent idea for a couple who has a very small wedding party or an unmanageably large one (the rest of the bridal party would sit among the other guests). It is also a very nice way to honor the parents of the bride and groom. This can be a lovely head table, as long as the newlyweds do not have a complicated family situation (ie, hostile parents or step-parents).
Wedding table settings, for example, are supposed to reflect the romantic, exciting atmosphere of the evening. Each idea has its own style and look. A baby shower table arrangement will probably look much different from a Valentine day one.
How many of us have ever thought about the principles of setting a table? For the uninitiated, how you prepare a table is about nothing more than putting silverware and utensils on a table before eating, and if you are lucky, sticking a napkin under each fork. We may ask, what is so difficult or interesting about that? Yet if we stop to think about it, whenever we go to a major event, it is the way that the tables have been set that creates the look and tone of the hall.
My medium of choice has long since been steel. Steel creations are permanent and the options in their design are limitless. After years of creating wall and free-standing sculptures I recently decided to focus my creative efforts on functional sculptures in the form of contemporary end tables.
Once a three-dimensional prototype is created, the design can then be refined. The prototype allows you to view the tables from all angles and fine tune the spacing of the steel round-bar. The number of pieces used to build the table can also be changed. Sometimes additional pieces need to be added either for functional stability or from a design standpoint. Sometimes I remove pieces to open up the design.
